Laundry/Office

So this past weekend, I spent my time painting our laundry room.    It was one of the things I had to get done before the baby comes.  Our spare room used to be our office/ Brad's "man cave"  but it is now going to become a nursery.   I finished painting sunday (with the exeption of the cabinets, which will have to wait til another day) and I think it was a big improvement.   We still plan to put carpet or new lanolium down, but that will have to be sometime in the future.   I came home from work today only to find that Brad had moved the desk in here and moved the washer and dryer.  I can't believe how good it looks!!!

Before

After

Yes, I know the floor still is gross looking, but the walls looks better, right?

The plan is to paint the seafoam green cabinets a nice chocolate brown. I think it will look really good when finished.

So there you have it.... my almost complete project!    I'll keep posting pictures of other things I do in my house!

Dr. Appointment Today

At our ultrasound appointment we were told that our gestational age was 2 weeks lower than what we thought, so we thought we would be receiving a new due date today at our doctor appointment today. Our doctor said he doesn't like to really move the due date unless he is really sure, so he is keeping our due date August 14, 2010 and recommending we get another ultrasound in 6 weeks at our 28 week mark. At that time they will measure her again and see if she is following the development of the lower gestational age. So he said we could actually be having our baby anywhere between the 14th and the 29th! Talk about really not knowing when she will come! Oh well as long as she doesn't get here too soon that it would cause problems, although I am hoping that our Doc will keep us on the August 14 date.... I don't know if I'll be able to wait till the end of August! Also I have gain only 1 pound since my last appointment which is right on track.

Everyday, I am starting to feel our little angel more and more and it is so exciting. It is one of the strangest feelings, but definitely in a good way. I only have to wait 4 more months (give or take a couple weeks –lol-) until I get to see her!

Well until next time.........

What do we name her?

Now that we know what our little "lima bean" is, one of the most asked question is what are we naming her.. Unfortunately we are having a tough time with names, there are so many to choose from! We know two things about her name: First, that it must start with a "B" (we have to keep the BB trend going on); Second, her middle name will be after my late grandma Lloyal. So we have been trying to find a cute original "B" name that flows well with Lloyal and isn't going to be too hard for people to pronounce or spell! This is turning out to be a difficult task! Here are a few names that I like:
  • Bethany
  • Braelyn
  • Brigette
  • Bralee
  • Brayah
  • Brinley
  • Bianca
These are just a few that we thought were cute.  We have a list on the fridge with names we liked.  I only wish we could narrow it down to a couple.

On a side note,  I found out earlier this week, my sister Ashley is going to have a BOY!   Like me she doesn't know a first name, but his middle name will be named after my mom's brother (who passed away as a child) Douglas!   If Grandma were still alive she would be so excited for us both!!   Although, I know that she's watching over both our little ones now and she'll make sure that they get a good send off before they make it down to this earth.

Gosh I am just so excited!  I can't wait to start decorating the nursery!
