Moto AKA The "Great" Hunter

So I have to share this story because it is sort of comical. I love my dogs, really I do, but there are times when I am not sure what I am going to do with them....well especially Moto.

So today, Dani was over visiting and we were sitting at the table in the dining room. Moto came running in the house into the front room. Not really that unusual and I didn't think much of it. I then heard him what thought was licking the floor and I peeked my head over to tell him to stop. He then jumped upon the couch and started scratching the cushion. I yelled at him to stop but he continued. So I walk in the front room and he had his head between the cushion and the armrest. Like so many times before, I thought he just dropped his bone down there and couldn't get it. I figured I would just help him out so he would go back to being good. I lift up the cushion and I saw something peach colored on the couch, I thought maybe it was a piece of food or something. I reached out and poked it only to discover it was a DEAD BABY BIRD! I shrieked in horror and ran in the dining room! Dani asked what it was, and all I could say was a dead bird. She is thinking it was a big feathery one. I told her there is no way with my pregnant gag reflexes that I could take care of it, she said she would. So I get her some rubber gloves, a bandana for her face, and the dust pan. She scooped it up and ran it outside to the garbage can. If I was home alone I think I would have ran outside and left the thing on the couch until Brad got back to take care of it. lol   Dani couldn't stop laughing at me!!! She said it was so funny the way I acted, and now that I look back it was pretty funny.  This only reminded me of the time we took Moto camping and he came back from “hunting” with a gofer in his mouth! He was so proud of himself when he dropped it at my feet. I think he was thinking the same thing with this bird. He is my great “Hunter”

We are making progress!!

Friday we had our second ultrasound to check our baby's size.  We thought we were 28 weeks along, but it turns out she measures only 25-26 weeks, so I bet our doctor changes our due date from August 14 to either later in August or early September.  It was kind of a bummer.    On the plus side of things, we got to see her again!   Everything still looks good (and just to double check there are no boy parts growing down there!)    We didn't get to see a profile view of her head but we got to see the front of her face!   She is going to have some major chubby cheeks!!!   When I get them scanned in I'll post them.

After our appointment, we went to Home Depot to pick out paint for her room.  I was so pumped, Brad, not so much.  -lol-  We got the room painted over the weekend, and I just finished the last little bit today.    Here are some pictures of our progress.   Its going to be so cute when the room gets actually put together!    Well until next time......

Girls Day!

So yesterday,  Meg and I had a girls day!   It was so much fun.   We did a lot of run around errands, but it was nice to hang out.    We got almost everything we went up there for and even got to go to lunch at Olive Garden (it was so good).   I was pretty proud of myself because I refrained from buy ever cute baby thing I saw.  We attempted to get some hair color but the hair supply place was closed, they closed at 2 p.m.  I mean who closes at 2?  Kind of seems like a random time, but we decided we'll just have to come up again.  The one thing we did get was the Baby Shower Invitations.... They are so cute!   I scanned in a copy, although excuse the quality because my scanner is old and not very good.   So watch for yours in the mail!

I also just wanted to attach my Belly Pics that are on the invitations, just so you can see them better.   I was pretty impressed with Meg's and my creativity.   She took them Friday with my little pocket camera and I edited them!   We did it all with out the help of the master photographer, aka my husband Brad.    I think they are really cute! These are taken at 27 weeks, the lower one is probably my favorite!

Anyways,  we are getting our 2nd ultrasound done on Friday, so I'll post some more pictures then!

Fun and Cold Weekend!

So this weekend we went to Supercross and boy was it fun! We met up with Brad's friend who is an announcer for monster and the race. She is so super nice, even nicer than I had imagined and not to mention gorgeous! She let us join in with the VIP lunch which was pretty good and a neat experience. After being at the "VIP party" for a while we decided to leave and walk around the pits for a while and check out the racers bikes and trailers for some of the sponsors. It was really fun, and surprisingly enough, my pregnant self wasn't that pooped from doing it. We took our seats and waited for the fun to begin! The weather wasn't bad at all until the first heat race began, and that’s when it started rain! I think we experienced wind, rain, sleet, hail and snow all in the same night, it was CRAZY! But we came prepared with our coats, blankets and ponchos! The races were awesome to watch and the racers were getting super muddy by the main events, but it was worth sitting in the cold and rain because it was so fun! I enjoyed being with my hubby.

Afterwards we went to Denny's for dinner and the hostess and our waitress were kind of nuts! The hostess gal kept singing and our waitress talked to us like we were a bunch of two year olds! At least my 11:00p.m. breakfast/dinner was really yummy! We stayed the night in a Motel 6 next to Denny's and it was so ghetto! HA HA! They didn't even have a clock on the night stand, not to mention they gave us a room with 2 full sized beds!
Before we went home Sunday, we did a little shopping and then stopped for lunch at Chuck-o-rama! (what great place for a pregnant woman!) I am so glad we had such a fun time! It was a good get away.

Brad's friend Laurette Nicoll - She's an announcer for Monster energy.

These girls had to keep putting out the Monster Energy drinks because they were giving them away for free to the public before the VIP party started.  This one guy I watched go back at least 5 times!   He was insane!   They put a limit of 3 per day on the can for a reason!!!!!
This was the DJ playing music-  Everytime you could feel the bass my little girl inside me started kicking!  I think she was dancing around in there!

This is a Motorcycle built for two! Courtesy of Travis Pastrana and the Nitro Circus guys! -lol-

View from our seats.  We were front and center!
Here we are before the rain started in our seats
Here we are again with our rain gear on!
Awww don't we look cute!
We didn't take alot of pictures because once it started raining it was too cold and wet to take alot.

Lastly- I have to throw in a picture we just took of my Baby Bump at 25 weeks!   I can't believe I'm that far already!    Only a short 15 weeks left before our little girl comes!
